MICHAEL DINN

Michael Dinn has spent almost 30 years working in the wine and restaurant trades as a sommelier, winemaker, winery owner, wine salesman and importer. Michael is best known in the Canadian wine industry as the co-founder of iconic British Columbia winery JoieFarm where he spent the past 12 years running the sales and marketing in addition to winemaking in the early years of the winery. Prior to that he worked for premium Canadian importer Trialto as a senior sales associate for three years. During the 1990s Michael was the top graduate from the first Western Canadian class of the then Canadian Sommelier Guild (now the ISG) and worked as the sommelier for noted Vancouver restaurants Cin Cin and C Restaurant. Michael's combination of experiences as a buyer, distributor and producer has given him unique insight into the challenges faced by each of these links in the supply chain and the requisite empathy and skills to help mitigate them whenever the opportunities present themselves.

portfolio

Our portfolio is composed of a careful selection of domestic and international producers who are truly representative of the best that their individual regions have to offer. We look for suppliers who have a strong sense of conviction about what they do and where they are from. We believe that it is not enough to work just with great wines, beers, ciders and spirits; we seek to work with great people as well.
